Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2022 Electric Shaver Deals

In this guide I’m going to share my favorite shavers that I think are absolute steals with the 2022 Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts.

Some of these shavers already offered great value, but you can now grab them for even less money.

Moreover, there are a few high-end shavers that while fantastic performers, their premium price tag prevented me from recommending them on a regular basis.

Fortunately, Cyber Monday deals are now on and you can now buy a flagship shaver for the price of a less-advanced model.

So let’s cut right to the chase and check out what I think are the best electric shaver deals for this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

The best Cyber Monday 2022 electric shaver deals

1. Braun Series 9 Pro 9465cc

9465cc.

See the deal on Amazon

The Pro version of the already excellent Series 9 is currently the latest and arguably the best shaver Braun has to offer.

With a redesigned shaving head and a bit more power, the Pro is a highly capable and versatile foil electric shaver capable of shaving very close and with great comfort.

It works great on short and longer facial hair (up to 5 to 7 days of beard growth), it’s really smooth and gentle to the skin and overall a safe buy for most users.

However, since it usually costs more than the standard Series 9 which is already a great performer, the Series 9 isn’t always my first pick.

But with the Cyber Monday discount, it costs significantly less than the retail price of the standard Series 9, making it a best-buy.

The Series 9 Pro 9465cc is usually the one that gets discounted the most, but you can also check out the Braun Series 9 Pro 9460cc which is identical, only that it comes in Black instead of Noble metal grey.

Both come with an excellent automatic cleaning and charging station.

2. Braun Series 9 9390cc

You should not by any means overlook the standard Series 9 especially if you can get one for less money than the S9 Pro above.

And guess what — now you can!

The 9390cc is the latest revision of the regular Series 9 and it’s one of the most comfortable and enjoyable electric shavers out there.

In fact, I’d say it’s even smoother than the Pro and a better choice for users with very sensitive skin.

The 92s cassette of the Series 9 is more forgiving but equally capable in my experience at catching longer, flat-lying hairs.

The S9 Pro does feel ever so slightly more powerful and torquey, but the differences are overall minor.

The Series 9 9390cc comes with the same excellent cleaning station and you can shave wet or dry.

It’s fast, shaves close, works great on short and long stubble (up to 5 days of growth) and is also an excellent choice for men with irritation-prone skin.

3. Panasonic Arc 5 ES-LV65-S

Panasonic ES-LV65-S Arc5

See the deal on Amazon

This shaver from the older, second-generation Arc 5 is already a fantastic shaver for the money.

But you can now get it for an absolute bargain of a price.

When should you buy this one over the Series 9/Series 9 Pro above? When you want the closest possible shave and you usually shave more often.

As we saw above, the Series 9 Pro can handle longer stubble with ease.

Panasonic shavers on the other hand work best on short facial hair.

Depending on your preferences, budget and shaving habits, you should pick the one that makes the most sense in your case.

The Arc 5 is a beast of a shaver and even shaves a bit closer than the Series 9 Pro. On the other hand, it isn’t as good at capturing difficult, flat-lying hairs, so you would need to shave more often.

The Panasonic ES-LV65-S costs significantly less even with the Cyber Monday discount applied to the Series 9 Pro, so if you are on a tighter budget but still want a top-performing shaver, the Arc 5 ES-LV65-S is the one to get.

It does not come with a cleaning station, but it’s dead easy to clean manually. Trust me, you really don’t need it for this shaver.

4. Panasonic Arc 5 ES-LV67-K

Here’s another Panasonic Arc 5 model that you should absolutely be checking out.

It’s a newer iteration of the ES-LV65-S above, basically meaning it comes with a more modern design. But as far as shaving performance is concerned, it’s absolutely identical.

It even uses the same inner blades and foil head.

So why should you buy the ES-LV67-K then?

Well, some users just like the way it looks. But in my opinion you should buy it if it’s cheaper or if you can’t get the ES-LV65-S anymore.

It’s a perfectly viable alternative or plan B.

5. Panasonic Arc 6 ES-LS8A-K

Panasonic ES-LS8A-K

See the deal on Amazon

The 6-blade Arc 6 is a behemoth of a shaver from Panasonic and arguably the most advanced foil shaver you can buy in 2022.

Basically an Arc 5 on steroids, but more refined and more comfortable, the Arc 6 is a fantastic performer.

But usually all this comes with a matching price tag, the Arc 6 being a premium product.

Normally, I would simply recommend getting an Arc 5 instead as that one is almost as good but costs a lot less.

Well, you can now get the Panasonic Arc 6 ES-LS8A-K for an almost reasonable price. It’s still the most expensive shaver on this list though.

The Arc 6 shaves incredibly close (just like the Arc 5), but it does so while being really comfortable and forgiving.

I think no other shaver manages to do that so well. I find the standard S9 still slightly more comfortable, but it doesn’t shave as close as the Arc 6.

So if you have the budget for it and want one of the closest shaving razors but also one that is perfectly smooth and gentle, this is it.

6. Panasonic Arc 4 ES-LA63AA

es-la63aa

See the deal on Amazon

Just as the name suggests, the Arc 4 is basically an Arc 5 with one less blade.

But don’t let that steer you away from it — it’s still a fantastic shaver, particularly at this special price.

Just like the Arc 5 and Arc 6, it’s fitted with the same 14 000 CPM (cycles per minute) motor that together with those sharp blades will provide one of the closest possible shaves of any electric razor.

In my experience, it pretty much managed to match those strictly regarding the closeness of the shave.

Being an older model, the ES-LA63AA costs even less than the ES-LV65-S for example and a whole lot less than an Arc 6.

It’s not quite as refined and gentle as those, but most users will find it perfectly adequate unless they have sensitive skin.

I absolutely recommend this Arc 4 as a more cost-effective alternative to the Arc 5 if you’re mainly looking for a shaver that gives a very close shave.

7. Philips Norelco S9000 Prestige

SP9820

See the deal on Amazon

This is hands down Philips Norelco’s best current shaver. Yes, it’s better than the newer Series 9000 9500/9800 as well.

While usually on the pricey side, you can now get a great deal on the Prestige.

Rotary shavers work great on longer, flat-lying hairs, definitely better than most foil shavers.

So if you have lots of flat-lying hairs and shave less often, this razor should be on your shortlist.

Also, if you already use a rotary and are looking for an upgrade, this is it.

8. Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s

Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s

See the deal on Amazon

This is hands down the best bang for your buck when it comes to electric shavers.

The Series 3 ProSkin from Braun is a very affordable, but still capable and versatile shaver that will get the job done without needing to spend big.

It’s a very comfortable foil shaver that’ll make a great first shaver for a beginner or a teenager.

But even a seasoned user will enjoy it provided the expectations are reasonable.

It’s cheap to buy and cheap to run since the replacement shaving head costs less than what you would pay for a Panasonic Arc 3 head, for example.

The Series 3 ProSkin 3040s has been one of the top-selling electric razors for good reason.

9. Braun Series 7 360 Flex 7085cc

7085cc

See the deal on Amazon

The new Braun Series 7 360 Flex family was launched two years ago to replace the now discontinued and iconic Series 7.

And while the new shavers didn’t quite match my expectations, they’re still very decent performers.

I would place them somewhere between the Series 3 ProSkin and the Series 8 performance-wise.

So if the price is let’s say only slightly more than what you would pay for a Series 3 ProSkin, that’s a fantastic deal and a great shaver for the money.

And the Series 7 7085cc is precisely that with the Cyber Monday discounts.

It’s a powerful shaver and works well on beards or short to medium lengths (I’d say 3 days of growth at most, maybe more if your beard grows back slower).

The 7085cc is a good choice for a beginner as well and will also make a great gift to someone.

It comes with a cleaning station and a nice bundle of accessories for trimming and maintaining a beard.

10. Philips Norelco Series 3000 Shaver 3800

Philips Norelco Shaver 3800

And finally, we have what I think it’s the best mid-range rotary razor from Philips Norelco. Yes, better than the Series 5000 or 7000. And you can now get it even cheaper!

If the Prestige above is still outside your budget, definitely consider this one from the new Series 3000.

It shaves remarkably well for a rotary in this price range and it’s a really enjoyable and smooth razor.

The performance on longer facial hair is great, definitely better than any foil shaver that costs the same.

You’ll usually have to shell out for a Braun Series 9 Pro in order to get a foil razor that can capture longer hairs with ease.

And while the Shaver 3800 doesn’t shave quite as close as the Prestige — after all, it costs only a fraction of the price — it’ll be good enough for most users.

Just like the Braun Series 3, the costs of ownership are really low with the Norelco Shaver 3800 as the replacement cutters are durable and cheap.

Conclusion

That’s it — these are my hand-picked shavers you can get at a discount with the 2022 Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

Regardless of what you need, these options should have you covered. We have high-end, but also affordable shavers, both foil and rotary.

  1. The Braun series 7 and the Panasonic arc5 are very close in price.
Which one would you recommend? I think you would say arc5, but I am also asking because I think the replacements for the arc5 are more expensive than the series 7.
I only shave the moustache and on my chin basically, since those are the only spots I get hair and I want a close shave since I dont like how I look with a beard.

    • Hi Pedro,

Objectively, the Arc 5 is hands down the better shaver. It’s faster and shaves closer. That said, the replacement head for the Series 7 is cheaper and easier to get. If your facial hair is not very coarse (I reckon it’s not from your comment), the Series 7 should be good enough.

      Sincerely,
      Ovidiu

      • Thank you! 🙂 yeah, i have a remington (dont know the model but similar to f5-800) and i really like it, shaves close too. I have tried a braun one (don’t know the model, but nothing fancy) and it doesn’t shave as close.

Upon more research, I have realized the arc5 is better for wet shaving, and it can be a bit bulky! Honestly, something like the remington but a little better would be perfect but I guess it’s hard to say because it differs from person to person.

      • Ah I forgot to add, I shave quite a lot, maybe everyday or every other day depending what I’m doing on that day XD

I guess from this you would recommend the arc5!

Thank you for all the information! I found this website yesterday and it has been very useful!!!

  2. Hi Ovidiu,

Thanks for crearing the list. I also found out Costco has a $50 discount on their Series 9 special edition making it $150 with another $10 for delivery.

What do you think is a better option Arc5 for $105 at Amazon or the Costco offer for $160? Just torn between the two. I’d prefer Arc but will I miss a great deal on Braun?

    • Hi Malik,

Thank you for the comment. I’d go with the Arc 5 unless you shave less often (like every 3 to 5 days) and you have lots of flat-lying hairs that grow in multiple directions — the Series 9 would be better suited for that.

      Sincerely,

  3. Hi Ovidiu,

Thanks for all of the good information you provide. Looking to replace an old Panasonic ES8066 I’ve used for many years. Also used a Norelco 985RX long ago. Both shaved “well enough,” but I can still feel some fine stubble especially under the chin/neck and in the mustache area with the Panasonic, so while good enough I don’t consider the shave super close (and seem to recall the 985RX didn’t shave quite as close as the Panasonic, but still sufficient).

I think my hairs are coarse, but my beard is fairly thin and slower growing. Shave every day 3 days in a row, then skip 4 days, and the ES8066 does okay with what’s grown. What I’m not sure about is whether I have sensitive skin, when considering new/modern shavers, and want a comfortable dry shave.

With current sales, looking at Braun 9310cc (I think) $150 on sale at Costco, the Arc 5 and the Philips 3800 you mention above, a Philips S6600 on sale $70 at Costco (unclear where that falls in model lineup, pentagonal shaped head, uses SH71 heads so could maybe(?) upgrade to SH91/98 heads), or even Braun series 8.

I do like the convenience of cleaning without a cleaning station, but not opposed to a station as long as there’s an option to charge without also cleaning. Availability and cost of replacement foils-cutters/heads/cassettes is a consideration, but less so than performance, convenience and initial cost.

Would you find any of the shavers I’m considering to be a best balance between comfort, closeness and cost/convenience? Thank you!

    • Hi,

      Many thanks for the comment.

The Philips 3800 would be the least costly option — the shaver itself and the replacement heads. But it won’t wow you with the closeness as any of the foil shavers you mentioned are better in that regard. I would also rule out the S6600 — that’s basically the new Series 6000 that was downgraded from the excellent SH60 blades to the SH71 which are inferior (very similar to the SH30 in the 3800). The SH91/SH98 will most likely fit, but those aren’t exactly cheap and it appears that Philips will discontinue the SH98 and recommend the SH91 as a replacement. The SH98 were slightly better.

The Braun Series 8 is a good balance of the things you’re after provided you can get a solo model for less than the price of a discounted Arc 5. The 84xxcc models come with the same station as the Series 9 and 9 Pro, but again it would make sense only if it costs quite a bit less than the 9310cc. The Series 8 used to have an advantage with the cheaper 83M cassette, but the price has spiked lately and it costs pretty much the same as a Series 9 92s/92M cassette.

I think an Arc 5 like the ES-LV65-S would be a very good option. Roughly the same price for the foil+blades as an S8/S9 cassette, but it shaves really close, it’s powerful and the comfort should be more than ok considering the shavers you’re currently using. You can also upgrade the foil in the future to any of the newer ones if you find a good deal. It’s very easy to clean also. I think the decision should be between the Arc 5 and S9 and unless you want the cleaning station, the Arc 5 would probably make more sense.

      Sincerely,
      Ovidiu

      • Thanks so much! Was concerned about where the ES8066 fell on the comfort scale compared to current Panasonic-Braun-Philips. But it sounds like the current Arc 5 wouldn’t be more aggressive/too aggressive compared to the 8066, so with current discounts I think I’ll go with the Arc 5.

        Thank you, again!

  4. Hi,
Which model would you recommend for sensitive and acne prone skin. I usually shave every 3-5 days but may do it more often if I find a model that works well.

    • Hi,

The best option will probably be the standard Series 9 (not the 9 Pro). You can also check out some of the solo models if you don’t want the cleaning station (like the 9330s for example), those should also cost less.

      Sincerely,
      Ovidiu
